Kings Arms Berkhamsted. Our Venue.
About The Kings Arms
Berkhamsted Comedy Club is based at the very lovely Kings Arms pub in Berkhamsted. Our shows take place in the Green Room above the main pub.
The Kings Arms is just a 10-minute walk from Berkhamsted train station. A former 18th-century coaching inn, The Kings Arms is a genuinely lovely pub. Many of the building’s original features have been preserved, including the legendary ‘hunting-lodge’ fireplace.
Named after Berkhamsted-born author Graham Greene, our venue is an elegant room and an ideal space for a terrific night of stand up comedy.
The Kings Arms is also a great place to eat. They offer a seasonal menu inspired by Mediterranean flavours and have a lovely dining space, which boasts an open kitchen, glass ceiling and full-length windows. They also serve a wicked pizza.
Here are a few recent reviews for The Kings Arms…
“Popped in to The Kings Arms for a pre-show bite to eat… We only had 45 mins and were assured this was plenty of time and we were served promptly.
I ordered the GF burger and what a treat it was, a delicious GF bun that tasted and looked fantastic.
For those GF amongst us, you’ll have been faced with many inedible burger buns… or in some places no bun at all ! (I know!)
So here we have delicious burger, bun, pickle etc and I also upgraded to the sweet potato fries too.
I have to say it was a lovely meal and well done for creating some great GF choices.”
“Another visit at the Kings Arms in Berkhamsted this weekend… the food was great, arrived in good time and by a lovely smiley waitress. Even Lola (my dog), received a large bowl of water AND treats. The staff are always impeccable, clearly helped along by a strong management team… leading to a professional but relaxed environment every time we go. Thanks guys- see you soon!”
